Terms of Service

By using Sefa you agree to these terms. Read them carefully — crypto is irreversible and self-custody puts you in charge.
Self-custody
Sefa is non-custodial. Your private keys are stored on your device only. We cannot access your keys, recover your seed phrase, reverse a transaction, or restore lost access if you lose your device and your backup. You alone control your funds and your responsibility for them.
Crypto risks
- Token prices move quickly and can lose value.
- On-chain transactions are irreversible once confirmed.
- Sending to a wrong address means the funds are gone — we cannot reverse the transfer.
- Network outages or third-party service issues may delay balance updates and notifications.
Conversion fees
When you convert one token for another we add a small spread to the route price (default 0.4%, may change). The fee is shown before you confirm and is logged in your account for transparency. Conversions below a small minimum (default $5) are fee-free. Fee rates may be adjusted from time to time.
Referrals
If we are running a referral program, the rules below apply. The program is a goodwill bonus, not a contract — we may change, pause, or end it at any time without notice.
- A referral is only counted when an invited person installs Sefa, completes onboarding on a new account, and broadcasts their first on-chain send transaction.
- Installs, signups, convert or receive actions, transactions from existing accounts, or self-referrals do not qualify.
- Referral rewards are paid in USDC on Solana to the wallet linked to your account. Payouts can take up to 30 days while we review for fraud, sanctions screening, and on-chain confirmation.
- Reward amounts shown in the app are indicative and denominated in USDC. The USD or NGN display is for convenience and may move with the market.
- Abuse — including but not limited to fake accounts, bot signups, sybil attacks, incentivised installs, or coordinated fraud — voids all pending and paid rewards and can result in account termination.
- You are responsible for any tax that may apply to rewards you receive in your jurisdiction.
We may withhold or revoke rewards if a referee deletes their account, fails sanctions screening, or appears to be the same user as the referrer. Rewards have no cash value outside the on-chain USDC paid to you.
What we don't promise
Sefa does not offer interest, yield, guaranteed returns, investment advice, or a subscription product. Nothing in the app is financial, tax, or legal advice. Price information shown in the app comes from third parties and may be delayed.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Sefa.
- You may not use the app where doing so violates local law, including applicable sanctions and export-control regulations.
- You agree not to use the app to launder money or fund illegal activity.
Acceptable use
- Don't try to extract another user's keys, sessions, or data.
- Don't reverse-engineer or scrape the app.
- Don't impersonate Sefa or our staff.
- Don't abuse the AI assistant or rate-limited endpoints.
Service availability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties. We may update, pause, or discontinue features. Self-custody means even if our services are unavailable, you can move your funds using your seed phrase in any compatible wallet.
Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Sefa and its operators are not liable for losses caused by market moves, irreversible transactions you authorized, lost devices, lost seed phrases, third-party service providers, regulatory changes, or downtime.
Account termination
You can delete your account anytime from Settings → About → Delete account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. Deletion removes your server-side data but does not affect on-chain history.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in Lagos State.
Changes
When we change these terms we update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
